President & CEO
Bill joined Provider Group in 2001, and has 30 years of experience providing risk management services to businesses and individuals throughout New England. Since 2009, he has served as President & CEO of Provider Group. Bill leads the strategic direction of the firm and his responsibilities at Provider have included overseeing sales, marketing, client services, and agency operations.
With expertise in commercial insurance, property and casualty, and risk management strategy, Bill’s area of focus is on manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, social service organizations and financial services firms. He works with clients to lower their total cost of risk by employing strategies such as loss control and risk management, safety training, and claims management. Bill is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and also advises high net worth individuals, ensuring that their assets are protected. Throughout Bill’s career he has held a variety of management positions, which enables him to view things from the business owner’s perspective, and understand the challenges that business owners face on a day to day basis.
Bill is on the Board of Directors of Needham Bank and has served on the Board of Governors at Wellesley Country Club. He has also served as President of Wellesley Youth Hockey, is a long-time lacrosse and youth baseball coach, and served on various town and school committees addressing recreation related issues. Bill is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America and the Associated Risk Managers of MA. He is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree, and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Babson College.
